Born in Israel in 1987, Yael Sloma is a video installation artist, who explores conceptions of masculinity, violence, religion, and popular music and cinema. Sloma, who currently lives and works in Tel Aviv, is an MFA graduate of Maryland Institute College of Art as a Fulbright fellow. Sloma graduated with honors from the art department of Bezalel Academy of Art (Jerusalem) and exhibited in 14 Street Y (New York), Peale Museum (Baltimore), Museumsquartier (Vienna), Städelschule (Frankfurt), Rencontre d'Arles (Arles, France), Manofim (Jerusalem), and many more.
